Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of A Factor's website, programmes, and services.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing A Factor's website, creating an account, taking an assessment, or enrolling in a programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Who we are

A Factor is an online-first career transformation institution. We provide structured learning programmes, diagnostic assessments, and a professional community for digital marketing roles. The institution is operated by its founders and the team listed on our leadership page.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, take an assessment, or enrol in a programme. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are inactive for an extended period.

5. Programmes and assessments

Programme access

Programme access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share login credentials, redistribute course materials, or use programme content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Assessments

Assessment results reflect your individual performance under our published methodology. We may update assessment instruments to reflect industry changes; your score remains valid for the period stated in your result.

Portfolio & project work

You retain ownership of project work you produce. By submitting work, you grant A Factor a non-exclusive licence to display the work for evaluation, peer feedback, and (with your consent) showcase purposes.

Credentials

Completion credentials are issued only after you demonstrate the competencies the programme is designed to develop. We do not offer purchase-only certifications.

6. Payments and refunds

Programme fees are stated at the point of enrolment. Unless otherwise specified in the programme listing, refunds are available within 7 days of enrolment if you have not accessed more than 10% of programme content. After that, refunds are subject to the programme's specific cancellation policy. Payments are processed by third-party providers; we do not store full payment card details on our servers.

7. Intellectual property

The A Factor name, logo, website design, programme content, assessment instruments, the Role Framework, the Competency Model, and all related materials are the intellectual property of A Factor and protected by applicable law. You may use these materials only as needed to participate in the programmes you enrol in.

8. Community conduct

A Factor's community spaces — forums, events, contests — operate on a "Give-to-Get" principle. By participating, you agree to:

  • Treat other learners and contributors with respect.
  • Share your work and feedback in good faith.
  • Refrain from spam, harassment, discriminatory content, and intellectual property infringement.
  • Accept that moderation decisions are at A Factor's discretion.

9. User-submitted content

You are responsible for content you submit to A Factor — assessments, forum posts, portfolio work, comments. By submitting content you confirm you have the right to do so and you grant A Factor a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content in connection with the service.

10. Disclaimers

A Factor provides the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to ensure our programmes, assessments, and frameworks are rigorous and current, we do not guarantee specific career outcomes, salary increases, or employer placements. Your results depend on your effort, your prior background, and many factors outside our control.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, A Factor and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid to A Factor in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. On termination, your access ends but obligations that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising in connection with the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
